Pricing

Glair is a workspace for the part of an identity project that happens before any visuals exist: reading what a product actually is, finding the worlds it could belong to, and turning the one you choose into a brand — its line, its slides, its image prompts and the artefacts around them.

You are charged by what a run actually costs. A plan is a number of credits a month, and a credit is a unit of that cost: making a project takes some, each further iteration takes some, and a project with thirty reference images on its moodboard takes more than one with none — because it costs more to make. Nothing is charged for twice, reading a project again costs nothing, and a project somebody shares with you costs you nothing at all.

A hundred credits is about one project taken all the way: the reading, the competitors, the category, the five directions and the searches beneath them, and five finished iterations from whichever direction you pick. It is an average rather than a promise — a spare project takes fewer, a heavy one takes more — and the balance in the app always says what is left.

Solo — 100 credits a month — about a project$15 $12 / month
Studio — 500 credits a month — about 5 projects$75 $60 / month
Agency — 1000 credits a month — about 10 projects$140 $112 / month

The struck-through figure is the standing price. Every monthly plan is 20% off for your first month while Glair is in early access; after that it renews at the full price, and you can change or cancel the plan at any point before then. Moving between plans does not restart it — the offer belongs to your subscription rather than to the plan you started on.

What a month means

Credits run with your billing period, not the calendar. They reset when the period does and they do not carry over. A run is never stopped halfway for want of credits: if you have credits left it starts, and if it ends up costing more than you had, the difference is ours rather than yours. The other side of that is the last ten: below ten credits the balance reads zero and nothing new will start, because a balance too small to begin anything is not a balance. Moving up a plan gives you the new allowance from the moment you pay for it, and you are charged the difference for the rest of the period rather than a whole month. Moving down takes nothing today: the lower price starts at your next renewal, and until then you keep the allowance you already paid for.

Which one

Solo is about a project a month — a designer working alone, taking a job at a time. Studio is about five, Agency about ten. They are the same product throughout: nothing is held back on the smaller plan, and the only difference is how many credits a month you have. If you outgrow one you can move up in the middle of a month and the new allowance is yours from the moment you pay for it.

Getting an account

Glair is in early access and accounts are opened by hand. Write to hello@glair.app and you will be sent one; the plan is chosen from inside the app once you are in.

How you get it

Glair is a website and there is nothing to install or ship. The plan is live on your account as soon as Paddle confirms the payment, which is normally within a few seconds, and you can start a project immediately. If it has not appeared within a few minutes, write to hello@glair.app and it will be put right.

Tax

Prices are in US dollars and shown before tax. Any sales tax or VAT is calculated at the checkout for the country you are buying from, and is collected and paid by Paddle, who sell Glair on our behalf.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from inside the app. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; nothing is charged again after it, and everything you made stays readable. See Refunds for when a payment can be returned.
